  • Question
A few months are mentioned in this article. Should these instead relate to seasons? If so, do the months described relate to northern or southern hemisphere seasons?
    Lois Wade
    Community Answer
Citrus generally ripens in mid-winter, months which vary by hemisphere. Seasons would be a better reference for this article, especially since these limes originate in Australia, which is in the southern hemisphere.
  • Question
    Do deer eat these trees?
    Community Answer

  • Question
I have a finger lime tree for 2 years. This year it had many flowers but none had a stamen. Is it just that this is its first blooming? I live in Ontario.
    Urbgarden
    Community Answer
These are the two possible problems: 1. The finger lime tree is quite young, so maybe give it another year before you expect fruit. Or, 2. Ontario is cold, so try moving it inside in the winter or all-year round.
  • Question
Should I cull fruit. I have a lot of small limes but they are not really growing/maturing after a month. Wondering if I need to remove excess fruit to allow the remaining ones to mature?

Yes, do remove the smaller fruit. This allows the rest of the fruit to grow bigger. You should fertilize the tree too.
