Yes, I would recommend having a reinforced wall so the heavy bag does not damage your home. I would put the bag 6 feet away from the wall so it does not touch anything but it all depends on the size of the bag measure the bag and multiply your measurement by 2 and that is how far you should put your punching bag away from the wall.
