How can I hang a huge mirror with no backing, just plain glass on the back?

There are special clips that hold on the sides and corners of mirrors to support the weight (the more clips the better). I have always found putting some silicone onto these before fixing is a good way to limit chipping and cracking. If you are a little more DIY savvy, you could drill the mirror (with a diamond drill bit) and mount it with mirror screws, which are screws with a brass or chrome dome.

I have a large picture with a heavy frame and wire hanger. As a renter, what's my best option for hanging it without damaging the wall?

Your best option is to hang it with nails. Nails will keep it up if you put them in the corners, and you can always use some spackle or painter's putty to patch up the holes when you take the picture down.

The mirror I have has no frame and I can't put any screws on it. It is an old bathroom mirror that I want to use for my home gym. What would you recommend?

Make a frame for it and use brackets to support the weight at the bottom. If you cannot make a frame yourself, then take it to a window shop and ask for a metal frame with a rubber insert. Once it is within a frame, you can hang it with ease, using a hook attached to the frame.
