The canvas picture I have is 24" x 36", and has 2 black square type hangers on it that look like claws along the bottom of the square. What do I use to hang this canvas picture?

You should probably go the safe route and hang it with a nail. If there isn't something like a rope or a string attached to the top of the canvas, you can glue one on yourself so that you can hang it onto the nail.

Nails and wall hooks are the easiest and most effective way to hang up a canvas. Mark the spot where you want to hang the canvas and use a hammer to install a single hook and nail at that point. For heavier pieces, or if you want to be extra sure that your canvas will not shift with vibrations, use two hooks spaced 4 to 5 inches (10 to 13 cm) from each other. From the central point, measure 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) to the left, and 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) to the right, and mark two new spots to hammer in two hooks. Then, carefully set the wire on the backside of the canvas onto the hooks and adjust it so it looks straight. If you want to be absolutely sure the canvas is straight, place a level at the top of your canvas. If the bubble in the tube is in the center of the two lines, then your canvas is level.

If the canvas isn't too heavy, you can use adhesive hooks such as Command hooks. Use a ruler or tape measure to measure and mark the locations where you want to attach your hooks. Make sure you've marked even points so your canvas won't look lopsided. Peel off the paper backing to expose the sticky adhesive underneath. Press and hold the adhesive hooks against your wall for 10 seconds so it firmly attaches. Then, gently place your canvas onto the hooks and adjust it so it looks straight.

How do you stick canvas to a wall?

If you want to attach the canvas directly to your wall, you can use adhesive strips! Get some strips such as Command strips and peel off the paper backing to expose the adhesive surface. Then, stick the strip onto the back side of your canvas. When you're ready to stick it to your wall, peel off the other side of the adhesive strips. Hold the canvas over the wall, make sure it's even, and press it firmly against the surface. Hold the canvas in place for about 10 seconds so the adhesive binds really well. Then, gently release the pressure and your canvas will be stuck onto the wall.
