Yes! A decoy map is a genius idea.
  • Question
What's a good spot for when they don't count and you have to just outrun them enough to hide without being seen?
    CurtM
    Community Answer
Unless you're much faster than the person looking for you, you'll need to find a spot that's nearby and easily accessible. Inside a closet or behind a piece of furniture might work indoors. If you're outside, try crouching at the bottom of a ditch, ducking behind a bush, or scrambling up a tree. Even if you have a good spot, you're more likely to be discovered if the person is right on your tail!
  • Question
What if I hide under the swimming pool?
    CurtM

  • Question
Am I hidden if I hide behind the wall?
    Community Answer
No, because you are not covered. If you're hiding outside, make sure you can somehow see all around you. If you see the person looking for you, run the other way, or whatever way is available. Have a backup hiding spot so it would take them longer to find you.
  • Question
What if someone crazy is chasing me and my friends? What do I do?
    Community Answer
Run away and yell as loudly as possible. Throw anything around you down in the path of your pursuer as this may slow them down. Draw as much attention to yourself as possible. If there is no one around, then try to hide. This also works if you are in a large crowd of people if you don't want to cause a scene.
  • Question
Is it a good idea to hide in a place they just checked?
    CurtM
    Community Answer
Hiding in a place where you pursuer has already look can be an excellent strategy, but only if it's a strong hiding spot on it's own. Moving into an open area where you may be visible can still put you at risk of being seen, even if the person has already inspected it.

    CurtM
    Community Answer
Yes! That's a very crafty idea. Your pursuer will be unlikely to stop and examine the ordinary objects around them, so you'll effectively be hiding in plain sight.
  • Question
How do I hide if I am being chased?

  • Question
What is the best hiding spot that a lot of people don't hide in?

That depends on the environment you're in. Some of the best, most underused spots tend to be right out in plain sight, like behind curtains or above or below objects that sit at eye-level.
  • Question
What if I'm hiding from a drone? What do I do?
    CurtM
    Community Answer
Stay behind cover. Drones are extremely mobile and can change altitudes, so they're more likely to see you if you try to go high or low. Objects like furniture, walls, trees, and other barriers that make it hard for the drone to maneuver properly will provide the biggest advantage.

    Community Answer
The best places to hide outside are bushes, trees, and sometimes even a shed if you are desperate. If you have light skin, then wear some khaki pants and a dark green top. If you are tan, brown shorts with medium greens or browns. If you have dark skin, mostly all greens or browns will do. Avoid neon or bright colors (like white) as these don't blend in well with the natural environment. Look for spaces that people are unlikely to look: up in a tree, beneath a large rock, or even under a car.
