In Minecraft 1.10/1.10.2 you can go to a Minecraft resource/texture pack site and download the desired pack. Then, move to your download files and open your Minecraft texture pack file. With both tabs open, move the downloaded texture pack to the official Minecraft texture pack folder. Then, in-game, go to options and enter the "resource pack/texture pack" screen, select the pack you just downloaded and enjoy!
  • Question
Do have to get Forge to install Minecraft resource packs?
    Community Answer
No, that is only the case for mods. Resource packs are a capability built into the Minecraft game itself.
  • Question
Where is the resource pack folder in Minecraft?
    Community Answer
When you click into 'Options' then 'Resource Packs', a little button takes you to your resource folder pack.
  • Question
I put my resource pack into the resource pack folder but it does not show, so I can't select it. What is the reason?
    Community Answer
Is it zipped? If so, check inside it and pull out the unzipped version.
  • Question
How do I move my texture pack to Minecraft?
    Community Answer
You can open your files, and drag the zipped file onto your desktop. From there, open Minecraft and then go to option, then to resource packs. Click on open resource pack folder. With the Minecraft tab small, you can drag the file from your desktop into the resource pack folder. It should then show up in your Minecraft packs.
  • Question
How do I extract the files when installing Minecraft resource packs?
    Community Answer
You don't have to do it, but extracting it will make it duplicated in the texture packs, so you need to right-click the icon and press "Extract all..." and wait.
  • Question
I tried moving the resource pack into the resource pack folder but it isn't working. The file is still zipped and the version is correct. What's going on?
    Community Answer
Unzip the folder in order to access the files inside the folder. Use an unzipper or do it yourself.
