  • Question
How do you install vinyl over concrete?
    Donagan
    Top Answerer
Sweep the concrete clean, apply adhesive with a trowel, and set the vinyl immediately. The glue will stay tacky for a while.
  • Question
Do I need to remove the old vinyl squares before installing new ones?
    Donagan
    Top Answerer
If the old ones are in good shape, it's much easier to leave them down. If you decide to remove them, use a long-handled scraping tool similar to a roofer's tool.
  • Question
How do I fit round a toilet?
    Community Answer
Make a paper template for tracing cut-line on tiles: from the side, overlap the toilet base an inch or so with construction paper where it first contacts the toilet base. Press the paper to the floor with a pencil to make a crease and progressively trim away the paper until a good fit from front-center to back-center is achieved. Proceed carefully and in small increments; if you mistakenly cut away too much paper in a certain spot, then make a better cut with a smaller, scrap piece of paper and tape the "corrected" piece to the larger sheet. Ideally, the finished template, when flipped over, will accurately fit the other side of the toilet base.
