Unfortunately, no. The only way to get a code from a teacher is asking them in person.
  • Question
I can't seem to add teachers to my class roster, what do I do?
    Celaena Lexa
    Community Answer
In Google Classroom, teachers have a different type of account. If you go into the settings of your classroom, there should be an "Add teacher" button.
  • Question
Does Google Classroom offer Spanish classes? I'm looking for something educational for my son to do while he's out for summer vacation.
    Community Answer
No, Google Classroom is specifically a tool for teachers to use to share assignments and other coursework with their students, it doesn't actually offer classes independently. You should check out DuoLingo, a popular site/app with comprehensive lessons on just about every language you can think of.
  • Question
I am typing in the code my teacher showed me, but the app says it's invalid. What can I do?
    Community Answer
Show the error to your teacher, who should be able to help. (This is a fairly common error.)
  • Question
Can parents have access to the students' Google Classroom?
    Dan
    Community Answer
No, they cannot. Only teachers and students can access the classroom; this is so that strangers cannot log in. Your parents can ask the teacher face-to-face what is happening in Google Classroom, however.
  • Question
If I unenroll from a Google Classroom, are all my posts that I have put on that classroom deleted?
    Dan
    Community Answer
No, they will still remain. However, you will not be able to use them, and they will be of little use for anyone there, so it should not be a problem.
  • Question
Can someone with a Yahoo account participate in Google classroom?
    Dan
    Community Answer
No. Yahoo is a different site. You should not use your personal email for Google classroom, the school should distribute one to you automatically. If they do not, you can simply ask for them to help set one up.
  • Question
How can I use last year's class codes, which has all of my handouts were downloaded, so I can find them with the new codes?
    Community Answer
It would be easier to create a new class. Click on the class and project the classroom code and have them sign up. Then when you make an assignment use the reuse option and look for the assignment with the handouts you want them to use. You can then update the date due, points, etc.
  • Question
How do I invite students to join a Google Classroom when they don't have a Google account?
    Ruby

You need a Type Account to join Google Classroom. If they don't have one, ask them to create one. Otherwise they will have to use another student's account, which isn't a good option.
  • Question
I have a problem as the teacher and can't join the class. Any advice why?

Make sure the invitation is valid. Then, check your account. The owner might also have cancelled the invitation, so perhaps follow up with that person.
