    Expert Answer
Flick down with your back ankle to send your board to the floor, then lift your foot quickly. This means you'll use your weight to both send your tail downwards and to get it to pop off the ground. Then, when you slide your front foot up, your board can come up too.
  • Question
Do I need a special type of skateboard to jump and do other tricks?
    Community Answer
No, just a regular skateboard, although a skateboard with low trucks is easier to do the tricks. You won't want to use a pennyboard or longboard.
  • Question
I try so hard to pop and it doesn't work. How can I get better at it?
    Community Answer
Don't just push down with your foot, but instead do a flick-like motion with your toes on the tail. Just try it as hard as you can, and eventually you will get it.
  • Question
Does this trick work on every kind of skateboard? Should I get a special one for all of it and the other tricks to learn?
    Community Answer
You can use almost any board other than an penny board and probably not an egg-board. But a long board may also be hard. But for other tricks certain boards make it easier to do.
  • Question
Can I use a penny board to do this?
    Community Answer
Penny boards are mainly for cruising, not tricks or jumps.
