    Community Answer
Meditate to help to control your mind; daily meditation will do the magic. Read some good, positive books to occupy your mind and change the way of thinking or to divert your mind from the bad thoughts. Concentrate only on what you're doing. Learn a music, language, art or anything else that you like to learn. Meet someone you like and talk to them, fill your heart with good things.

What shall I do to occupy my children?
    Community Answer
If you are able to stay at home with your children, you could always play games with them, teach them a new hobby (ie: cooking, baking, or gardening), or ask them to help you with household chores. You could also "trick" them into doing housework, such as: using laundry like basketballs, dancing with a mop, pretending to be filming a cooking/reality show, etc. If you are unable to be with them at all times, you could always let them watch TV, do some arts and crafts, or play out in the garden.
  • Question
How do I not think suicidal thoughts when I'm by myself?
    Community Answer
You should see a therapist for that question. It's important to get professional help for mental health issues such as suicide, because average people often don't know how to properly answer questions like this. Look up methods to deal with intrusive thoughts: try doing something you enjoy, like dancing or painting. Do something sensory that distracts you from negative thoughts. Anything hands-on works great. Doing something that makes you happy can also make life seem more worth living when you're feeling suicidal. Again, getting professional help is the best and safest way to deal with suicidal thoughts.
