  • Question
Can Calla lilies be under water for a table top decoration at a wedding?
    Community Answer
Yes. I did it for a wedding last year and the flowers actually lasted several days.
  • Question
Do planted calla lilies only bloom only once per season, or do they keep blooming?
    Community Answer
When we were in Southern California, they bloomed several times a year as it never got cold enough to knock them out. We brought a suitcase full of them to Oregon 30 years ago; the same plants are in full bloom right now, but in a few weeks of warm weather they will be gone until next spring. Foliage might come back in fall, but no flowers.
  • Question
Why did the tops of my new bouquet of roses and calla lilies start to turn brown on the second day?
    Community Answer
They could not be fresh. They should be picked the day you're giving them to someone. Keep them in fresh water in a cool area to help them live longer.
  • Question

Yes, you can transfer a potted calla lily plant to the garden. The best time to replant the calla lily is in the spring, when all the frosts have stopped.
