Do planted calla lilies only bloom only once per season, or do they keep blooming?

When we were in Southern California, they bloomed several times a year as it never got cold enough to knock them out. We brought a suitcase full of them to Oregon 30 years ago; the same plants are in full bloom right now, but in a few weeks of warm weather they will be gone until next spring. Foliage might come back in fall, but no flowers.
