Simply have another tab open that you can click onto when they check. If you think they will check the tab bar, then pull the tab until it is off off Google. That way you can hide it behind whatever work you are trying to do.

Type in a fake essay on a computer, write an essay in your book or just take down notes on the lesson. Pretend like you are doing something.

Hang out around your next class. Maybe even get started on any assignments you may or may not have finished for that class.

Hide it behind a laptop screen or a book. A good method is to have it sticking out from underneath a book on your desk and when someone walks past, put it under the book.

Just have a random math paper out and your phone. And also have a calculator tab on your phone or laptop, so when they walk by and they ask what homework you are doing, just say math homework and say I'm using a calculator and show them both the phone and piece of paper.

Pretend that you're typing something. You can open a blank word document and start typing anything that comes to your mind, just make sure no one can see what you're typing by keeping your brightness low.

Use multiple monitors if you have that, or position the camera at an angle where they can’t tell, like having it slightly diagonal. Or, just go onto no video and say that your video connection is bad.

They way you can do this is if you have another page ready to turn to! Try having the page in the front so they notice it or try going on private browsing for your more private less important/slacking off things. Then there won’t be any history of it.

Just ask a dumb question to get the person to respond, then leave you alone for a bit. If they don't leave, then just keep asking dumb questions until they get sick of it and leave.

Set a timer. When however many seconds passes by that you need to change tabs, switch back. Then once it takes the screenshot, go back to your game or whatever.
