To cut the toe shape, you can outline with a marker then carve them down using scissors. you just cut off small bits of foam at a time until you have the desired shape you want.

Can I use normal glue for my fursuit or do I need a glue gun to do it?

A glue gun will be your best bet, as it dries firm and is very hard to remove from the foam. Normal glue will just seep into the foam, and then the fur will not adhere.

Is the feet tutorial for this meant for outdoor fursuit feet, or indoor fursuit feet?

The EVA foam will protect the feet from the concrete and grass so it can be used outdoors. But if you would like indoor feet, you could cover the bottom with fur and shave it down really short and if you want, you could use some more vinyl and make some flat paw pads.
