If you have a natural color yes, If you have a vibrant color, make sure you use color-safe shampoo and conditioner, reduce the amount you wash your hair, and also try putting some of the dye in with your conditioner.
  • Question
What will happen if you leave the color on your hair longer than the box says?
    Community Answer
It's okay to have the dye set in a little longer then the box says. There are a few things you can do that might help the color stay in longer. The one I know from experience is to use a really good brand of dye like L'oreal. Or, if you're bleaching your hair, keep it blonde for a day before you add in the color to give it time to settle in.
