    Expert Answer
Yes! Although green tea is primarily water based, it does contain a small amount of caffeine. That said, it can still be a great option to stay hydrated.
  • Question
If I want to use an artificial sweetener (like Splenda), do I add it at the end?
    Community Answer
You can add it in at pretty much any time as long as the tea is fairly warm/hot, as it will not dissolve very well otherwise.
  • Question
Can I let the teabags steep at room temperature for 12 hours instead of letting them steep in the refrigerator?
    Community Answer
Yes, but it will not taste the same.
  • Question
Do I have to put the tea in the fridge for a few hours? Can't I just put my teabag in a cup of cold water?
    Community Answer
The tea will not steep if you put it in cold water. The entire point of tea is that the hot water steeps the tea leaves and flavors the water. So yes, you do have to put the tea in the fridge.
  • Question
Will drinking it cold have the same effect as drinking it hot?
    Community Answer
Yes, drinking green tea cold or hot has the same effects.
  • Question
Can a tea bag be reused?
    Community Answer
Technically, yes, but the flavor will be both bland and bitter and the caffeine gone.
  • Question
Instead of using lemon slices or lemon juice, can I use a lemon tea bag?
    Community Answer
I don't think using a lemon tea bag would give you the taste you're looking for.
  • Question
Would it be the same with decaf green tea?
    Community Answer
There might be a slight taste difference, but it will work fine with the steps above.
  • Question
How many servings of green tea are recommended per day?
    Isabella Boshell Valbuena
    Community Answer
About 3 servings are good. Green tea also benefits health, but too much can be bad.
