QuestionWhere can I get 2 part silicon mix to make molds?DianeglassatticCommunity AnswerTwo-part silicone putties are available at Michael's, etc, as "Easy Mold" (best brand sold there), or online at sites like Clay Alley, and sometimes they're sold for making hearing aids, etc. (Some brands are better than others.)

QuestionCan I bake polymer clay inside a mold that has been made from polymer clay? Or will it stick together as it bakes?Community AnswerYou could try adding a layer of cornstarch. I have never tried this myself, but it's worth a shot.

QuestionCan I use these molds to shape hot glue?Community AnswerYes, you can. Maybe add a little Vaseline as a release agent to make sure it doesn't stick.

QuestionI find that my polymer clay pieces are subject to breaking easily. It's so discouraging. What am I doing wrong?DianeglassatticCommunity AnswerThe most probable cause is just using one of the lines of polymer clay that will be brittle after baking in any thin or projecting areas when later stressed (Sculpey III, Craftsmart/Bakeshop, regular Super Sculpey, and especially original plain Sculpey). Try Premo or one of the other (stronger) polymer clays instead. Other causes can be not joining parts well, underbaking, underconditioning, etc.
