  • Question
Is it OK for my gerbils to crawl on my head and shoulders?
    Community Answer
Yes, but be careful not to let them get hurt while doing it!
  • Question
Can I add windows to the tunnel playground?
    Community Answer
You can, but then it won't really be a tunnel. Tunnels are meant to make the gerbil feel safe and unseen; with windows, it's just a lit up path with lots of holes. It won't be the "protection" they are looking for.
  • Question
How can I make homemade gerbil toys?
    Community Answer
You can use cardboard boxes and cut holes and cracks for him/her to crawl threw, or make tunels out of paper towel roles. You can also make mazes for him/her.
  • Question
Won't the gerbil destroy the cardboard?
    Community Answer
Yes, they will, so you will have to replace the tunnel over time.
  • Question
My gerbil is too fat for Tunnel Playground tubes, are there any other playthings he may like?
    Community Answer
Maybe you could take two paper towel rolls, cut a line along both of them and tape them together to have a giant tunnel for him. Or, if you have old wooden play blocks and a flat surface, you could set the blocks up to make a maze with food or treats at the end.
  • Question
If I get a bigger cardboard tunnel, would this work my guinea pig?
    Community Answer
As long as your guinea pig can fit comfortably through the tube without trouble then it should be perfect.
