  • Question
When I built the first one, all of the lava kept melting the cobble when I broke it. How can I stop this from happening?
    MelodyTongyu
    Community Answer
My suggestion is to dig a hole beside the cobble (where you won't touch any lava or water) and jump in before you mine the cobble. Then, walk into the cobble as close as you can and stay there. When you mine the cobble, it's more likely to go into your inventory. You can also use a hopper under the generator so that when you mine it, the cobble will go into the hopper.
  • Question
Could I place cactus so that when I push the piston, the cobblestone is moved next to the cactus, then the cactus makes it break?
    CaptianYaya
    Community Answer
No. This will break the cactus instead of the cobblestone.
  • Question
How do I do it if Tile Drops (console editions only) is disabled?
    Frail Hunter
    Community Answer
Enable them or use a different version than you're currently on.
  • Question
Can you make the redstone dust a longer line but just add repeaters?
    Community Answer
Absolutely! If you want to extend a line of redstone from the generator out to a workshop, for example, you could use a long line of redstone and a repeater every 14 blocks or so.
  • Question
Is there a way to use tent to automine it?
    MelodyTongyu
    Community Answer
No. Unless you use commands or install a mod, there is no current contraption in Minecraft which allows you to mine blocks automatically.
  • Question
The water keeps transforming the lava in to obsidian. What am I doing wrong?
    Community Answer
Make sure you have a 2-block deep hole for the water to sink into.
  • Question
Can I also make obsidian with this?
    Emersonac
    Community Answer
Yes, just modify the design. Remove the lava and the water with a bucket, then switch their locations so the lava is now in the 1x2 hole and the water is in the 1x1 one.
  • Question
Can this be used in Xbox One Minecraft?
    Community Answer
Yes, as all of these blocks are available in all modes.
  • Question
Can I place cacti on anything but sand?
    Community Answer
No; that was the way the designers made the game.
  • Question
I made it and it’s great but can I make it bigger?
    Seasalt25
    Top Answerer
You can make multiple cobblestone generators, or add onto your current one using more lava and water to make more cobblestone.
  • Question
Is there a way to make the cobblestone grow faster?
    Seasalt25
    Top Answerer
There isn't a way to make cobblestone form faster, but by using a higher tier pickaxe like diamond or netherite, and/or one that's enchanted with efficiency, you can mine cobblestone faster so you get more of it.
  • Question
Does the obsidian version make infinite obsidian or only a few
    ZAPAXE, ZAPAXES and ZAPAXESPRO
    Community Answer
Only a few. You can use that method to make them but you must put the first lava before putting water, if not, then it won't work.
  • Question
Will putting a chest under a hopper under the cobble auto collect as long as it doesn't burn?
    Vortrexion
    Top Answerer
This will work, and automatically collect the cobblestone and store it in the chest, as long as it doesn't burn when you break the block.
  • Question
Sometimes my cobblestone generator makes coal or iron instead of cobblestone. What is the chance for iron and coal to spawn?
    Vortrexion
    Top Answerer
If your generator spawns any other ores or blocks besides cobblestone, you are playing on a server, and the chances of getting random blocks is up for them to decide.
  • Question
Can I do this so that when the cobblestone drops, it goes into a hopper and then a chest?
    Vortrexion
    Top Answerer
You can do this, and make an AFK cobblestone farm. Just place the hopper under where the cobblestone generates, and the chest under the hopper. Your cobblestone should then fall into the hopper and then the chest.
  • Question
Can I do this so that when the cobblestone drops it goes into a hopper then a chest?
    Gisele Mayorga
    Community Answer
Yes, where the cobble generates is where you can put the hopper hooked up to the chest.
  • Question
Would it be better to get a chest and put a bucket in it so after the cobble has formed I could pick up the now lava-filled bucket in my hotbar and collect the cobble without it burning?
    Jazz SMYTH
    Community Answer
Yes. Although it takes longer, it’s great. And you can make it redstone (not blocks).
  • Question
    Are foxes in Minecraft PE?
    Jazz SMYTH
    Community Answer
No, they are not. But you can use a mob or a Addon so you can play with foxes for free. The mods are mostly for PCs though.
