QuestionHow can I pack a glass kitchen table in a moving truck?Community AnswerIf you can take the glass off the top of the table, then do so. Take furniture pads, paper pads or even your own blankets and wrap the glass. Secure the padding with tape, then use shrink wrap and wrap over the padding. Depending on the size and weight of the glass, it could take two people to wrap it. Once wrapped, carefully carry it out to the truck and keep it on its side (never lay glass face down). Secure it with straps or rope towards the back of the truck (closest to the gate) against the side wall. Lay down padding to protect the glass. You could also put it between the mattresses, but be careful not to forget, as the glass could fall on you when you go to move the mattresses.

QuestionCan you hire someone to just load the truck and you drive it to the destination?Mzm555Top AnswererYou can absolutely do this, though if you are already set on hiring someone to load the truck, it may turn out to be the same cost as hiring mover/drivers, as opposed to renting out your own truck and driving it yourself, then having to hire labor-hire workers. Search around for moving companies and see some quotes before you go this route. If you want someone to just help you loading the truck, you can put an ad in the paper or online (cheaper option) or approach labor hire agencies/ small businesses (more expensive but this is generally safer insurance wise if there happened to be an accident or something went missing [potentially stolen])
