  • Question
Do you take turns or do you just keep playing until one player wins?
    Slothpop
    Community Answer
You don't take turns; you just play at the same time until a player wins. Try to beat the other player to play your card.
  • Question
What happens if you use all your cards from your deck?
    Minimist
    Community Answer
The used cards get turned over (do not shuffle). If picking one card at a time, you will have gone through all of the cards already, but if picking three at a time, you will need to go through the deck three times, before having gone through all of the cards. Just turn the deck over, after you run out of cards. If you use them all: for this, you need to see if the stacks an be simplified or moved into the ace piles, until reaching the winning layout. If you can't do any of that, you've lost.
  • Question
How does one person play double solitary with 2 decks of cards shuffled together?
    Minimist
    Community Answer
Shuffle the two decks together. It doesn't matter if they are different colors. Line up 9 stacks, instead of the normal 7. Play as normal, but with 8 ace bases, instead of the normal four. That's it.
  • Question
Can you use two hands to play?
    Minimist
    Community Answer
Of course! As long as you play by a set of rules, even if they were altered to your own liking, it is perfectly fine to use two hands.
  • Question
As per the Stockpile cards: do you turn one at a time or three at a time?
    Minimist
    Community Answer
It's your choice. If you normally play turning over one, do one, but if you normally do three, then do three. Three is the original version, but feel free to flip one at a time for an easier game.
  • Question
Double solitaire, two players, only one deck of cards?
    Minimist
    Community Answer
If there were two players, you could each play with a deck, but if only one, you use both. If you only have one deck between the two, then you could alter it to have only two sets, etc. to make it work without all the cards, such as giving all black cards to one player and red to another. It's really up to you, depending on your scenario.
  • Question
When you have an open spot, what do you do?
    Minimist
    Community Answer
An open spot can be filled with a king, but after you have all your kings laid down, the open spots stay empty, because your goal is to get the lineups of kings, not fill all the spaces. Remember that only kings can be placed in the empty spaces. Unless you want to win every time, they shouldn't be used as a placeholder for cards below the king.
