What do I do if my remote won't turn the TV on or off?
    Community Answer
Do any of the other buttons work? If not, it is likely the batteries are dead. Replace the batteries and try again. If other buttons work, then your On/Off button is likely broken and you will need to get a new one.

    Community Answer
If you press the record button twice, it will record the whole series; if you press it a third time, it will pop up with "Continue Recording", "Change Recording Options", "Cancel This Episode" and "Cancel Entire Series". You will want to click the latter. It will ask, "Do you want to keep the partial recording?" You can either keep or delete the series that has thus far been saved.

Change the batteries. The cover is on the back of the remote. It uses 2 AA batteries. If that doesn't help, contact DirecTV, as you probably need them to send you a new remote.
