  • Question
How do I make my voice deep and soft?
    Gwir Galon
    Community Answer
Well, first of all, respect the voice you have and don't ever force it. If you are talking about your speaking voice, breathe deep into your stomach and lower back. That relaxes the voice and body and you'll come into your deep, relaxed sound. If you mean for singing, keep your breathing even and develop a wide, strong stance to support your core.
  • Question
How do I overcome breathing problems so I can project my singing voice?
    Gwir Galon
    Community Answer
Keep your chin a little down, so you never block the flow. Then, feet well connected to the floor is best, stretch up from your lower back and open your rib cage in the back. Find that little triangle between your ribs in front and gently feel it go in when you are breathing out, then just let go, your body knows already how to take in the exact breath it needs. A lot of breath blocks; one needs a fine stream to sing correctly, never a big rush, always in balance vs pushing. Gently practice just that, trying to keep your ribs open, even when you are breathing out.
  • Question
I feel strained while singing high notes. How do I overcome this?

All you have to do is practice. Sometimes when people try to sing really high, they end up screaming. Try not to do this. Try humming a high note for a while before trying to sing it. This works for many famous singers.

  • Question

Take a big deep breath, make sure your airways are open, and tilt your chin up a bit. If you still can't hit them, work on going a little bit higher every day until you can hit them. Don't overdo it or push yourself too hard or you could damage your vocal chords.

No. Riyaz should be done sitting on a bed or chair with a straight posture. Your stomach should not be pressurized during riyaz because then your voice will break down during singing.
