    Expert Answer
Don't just stick your foot in the tights and pull them up. Instead, bunch or roll them in your hands all the way down to the bottom of the tights. Put your toes into the toe of the tights, then pull them up gently—the run will come from your fingernails or from you pull up the tights with too much pressure or too quickly.
  • Question
Is it okay for a guy to wear tights?
    Community Answer

    Community Answer
The side that has thin purple lines goes in front and the one that has just the seam goes in the back.
  • Question
I am a teen boy who likes to wear tights and skirts, but cant get skirts because my parents don't know. What can I do?
    Community Answer
If you have a sister, try borrowing one of hers, or maybe use one of your mother's while she's not around. If you have any female friends, offer to buy one from them.
  • Question
What is the best way to keep warm with tights?
    Community Answer
Try thermal tights or tights that have a fleece lining or any lining that can retain heat.
  • Question
Do you wear your panties over or under the tights?
    Community Answer
Under the tights. Your underwear should always be the first thing you put on.
  • Question
How do I put on vertically striped pantyhose so that the stripes on both legs are vertical? I can get the first leg right, but on the second leg, the stripes seem to go diagonal.

First make sure the toe seam is aligned with your toes. Once one leg is complete, make sure the tights aren't twisted, and then align the other toe seam with the toes and carefully pull the tights all the way up your leg, adjusting as you go if the vertical lines seem to be going askew. It's not easy, but practice makes perfect.
  • Question
Why do my hose sag at the ankles?
    Community Answer
You might need to shimmy them up your legs a bit, or they could be the wrong size (e.g. you might be wearing a 'tall' when you should be a 'medium').
  • Question
What is the easiest way for an elderly person to put on a pair of tights?
    Community Answer
While seated, pull on one leg and then the other, standing to pull them all the way up. This can also be a great exercise in flexibility and encourage movement. Not all elderly people will be able to do this, however, and may need help pulling them on over their feet.
