    Expert Answer
There are no hard and fast rules here. What works for you may not work for someone else and vice versa. Focus on the journey, not the outcome. If you can make minor adjustments to your habits and attitude over time, you'll get where you're trying to go.

For some people, change is just naturally hard. You don't have to go about this on your own. Enlist the help of a colleague or mentor who you trust and respect. You can even hire a life coach to help you on your journey.

Absolutely. It's never too late to change. There are no prerequisites when it comes to making adjustments in life. All you need is the will to change and the motivation to stay at it.
  • Question
What if I don't have as much freedom to do a lot of these things?
    Community Answer
Just try as much as you can. Try to think of a role model and think of the traits that you like about them. It is not all about appearance. You could change your personality a bit first and the way that you approach things in your daily life.

    How do I reduce anxiety?
    Community Answer
Read How to Deal With Anxiety for detailed guidelines.
  • Question
How can I be myself after years of faking my personality?
    Community Answer
Change, but slowly. Start with the small things, such as maybe a food you said you like but really don't. Admit that to your friends. Then, slowly manipulate your personality until you are completely your normal self. If you do this carefully enough, by the time you are done your friends will barely remember your old self.
  • Question
How can I be a new person if I have to wear a uniform at school?
    Sasuke Otsutsuki
    Community Answer
A uniform doesn't define who you are. The only thing that can make you "a new person" is to change all the bad things about you, and try to improve yourself.
  • Question
How can I do this after working in the same place for years?
    Community Answer
To reinvent yourself, you need to start fresh. If you can't just drop everything, just do what you must, and don't worry about what colleagues may think.
