    Expert Answer
Remember to run tall and keep your shoulders relaxed. Move forward by pushing back. Do not do heel strikes or put too much weight on the balls of your feet.
  • Question
Would doing walks/jogs with a weighted backpack be OK, or would that just hurt my back?
    Donagan
    Top Answerer
Walking with light weights is OK. Running/jogging with weight added is not too good for your lower back. The best run training is just to run.
  • Question
How can I help your breathing and chest when I run for long periods of time?
    Community Answer
Slow down a little, or even start walking, and let your breathing and heart rate go down a bit. When it feels better, start running again.
  • Question
I have to run in a 400 meter race in 4 days, but don't know what to do to improve. Help?

Be sure to use a ball of foot strike, and run as close to the line as possible. Don't get too close unless you want to get disqualified. Run in good spikes, too!
  • Question
When I run, the right side of my rib cage starts to hurt. Is this common?
    Community Answer
Do "cramp stretches" before running, and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Try to breathe with a cadence while running, as that can help you get more oxygen.
