    Expert Answer
The pros of Craigslist are that you can be very focused in terms of who you're selling to. The listing can be very local, so you won't need to go far when you're meeting potential buyers. You also don't have to pay a whole lot to list the vehicle, which a lot of other platforms require. The big downside is the scammers. There tend to be a lot of them on that platform, so choose your buyer carefully.

  • Question
How do I list a vehicle that needs a transmission on Criagslist?
    Community Answer
Selling a car that is not fully functional is always difficult since most people don't want the hassle of having to repair a car before they can use it for transportation. Consider obtaining estimates for the transmission repairs and present these to potential buyers when negotiating your selling price. Listing it as a "Mechanic's Special" or "For Parts or Rebuild" should attract the mechanically minded to your ad but most rebuilders drive a hard bargain, so be prepared to accept a lower selling price for your car.
