It shouldn't. The 'Sent' message record is kept on the sending phone's records. The only time a message is returned to a sending phone is when it fails, destination is unreachable, etc.

Nothing is ever really deleted out in cyberspace. For most things "delete" is a myth and only "hides it from view." The ID of a phone and its location are recorded. The routing logs to get to and from a web server are recorded. You need special tools/training to truly hide yourself out on the internet.

Not at first. If you go to a site and send a text using a "fake" phone number, there's no way the receiver could have already blocked it. But, if they don't like the text, they can block that new, fake number too. So, you'd have to repeat the process with a new fake number.

Yes. They can use any of the reverse lookup sites to find your name. If they already know your number and have you in their contact list, your name will appear anyway. Entering their number instead of their name only makes your task more difficult, it has no effect on the recipient.
