    Expert Answer
It depends on if you have a natural vocal ability or not. If you're naturally more musical, it would take a lot less to be able to hear it. But it could take anywhere from weeks to years, just depending on your own ear.

Just because no one in your family can sing, doesn't mean you can't.

Drink warm water with honey and a little lemon juice once a day.
  • Question
When I was 10 years old my voice was so sweet and now my voice is so harsh. How can I make my voice sweet and soft again?
    Community Answer
Keep yourself well hydrated with water. Also, I suggest drinking milk with honey. Honey in general can help your throat loosen up more. Try to practice your voice, but don't tire yourself. Although you won't be able to make your voice perfectly sweet like when you were little, you can still make it softer and clearer.
