  • Question
How do I manage my time during my Olympiad exams?
    Community Answer
Start with the toughest questions or the questions with the most weightage. For example, in the International Math Olympiad (IMO), solve the Achievers Section first. Keep working in this manner, and save the easiest section for last. When you are on a time crunch, you can easily whip by those questions. Also, make sure to spend no more that a minute or two for each question. An Olympiad is usually an hour long and contains about 50 to 60 questions. If you want to finish, then revise a bit and make sure to follow the 1 minute rule for each question. Last but not least, make sure to stay calm throughout the exam so that you can work faster.
