    What if it doesn't sync?

Replace the batteries, then try again. If not, try with another controller. If the 2nd controller works, head to support.nintendo.com to find out what is wrong with your remote.
  • Question
How do I do this on a Wii U?
    Community Answer
Press the sync button on the Wii U. You should see a sync screen on the TV. Press sync on the Wii remote. They should now be connected.
  • Question
What can I do if I am not able to go past the choose language screen?
    Community Answer
Underneath the battery cover of the remote, there is a red button. On the front of the console, there is a little white flap, and behind that, there is a red square button. Press both the red button on the remote and the red button on the console at the same time.
  • Question
I can't find the SD card slot on the front of the console to sync new Wii remotes. Where is it?
    Milos Tosic
    Community Answer
Try looking on the front of the console and see if there's something to open. If you still can't find it, you are most likely using Wii mini. Wii mini's sync button is located at the left of the console (when looking at the front).
  • Question
Does the console need to be within line of sight to communicate with the controllers?
    Community Answer
They do not, because they are connected by bluetooth.
  • Question

Let the Wiimote Plus or Wiimote with the Motion Plus plugged in lay on a flat level surface, and then turn on the console (and the Wiimote, if need be), wait 5 to 10 seconds before using the Wiimote, by then it should have been calibrated.
