    I have something kind of deep to say to this guy I barely know, and he's extremely shy. How do I approach him about it without freaking him out or seeming flirty?

    First try to make him your friend. You could also use an excuse to talk to him- like asking for help on work. Go on slowly so you won't end up freaking him out. After being friends you both could hangout together and eventually tell "something kind of deep" that you have to say to him.
