  • Question
What are the chances of having a warranty on the speaker from the audio shop I bought the speakers from?
    Community Answer
Typically shops don't warranty their speakers. If you have a higher end brand, ask to see if it comes with a warranty through the brand itself. it also doesn't hurt to ask the shop if they do warranty their products. if you want to do it anonymously, call ahead and ask.
  • Question
I have a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country; the front left speaker and the back speakers don't work. What should I do?
    Community Answer
It's probably the head unit (radio). It could have failed, or maybe the wires are shorting out. If you can access the wires behind the head unit, check to see if they are all connected. If so, you will need to replace the radio.
  • Question
All my speakers in my car work, except for the one on the right front door. What could be wrong?
    Community Answer
It's probably a bad connection in the wiring. Blown speakers make a cracking type sound, like static.
  • Question
I can faintly hear my speakers, but there is no volume. Could my speakers be blown?
    Community Answer
This suggests a problem with the amplifier, rather than the speakers. Some factory systems are equipped with a separate amplifier, particularly with premium audio packages. Otherwise it is an integrated part of the head unit. Have your amplifier checked.
  • Question
I have a Nissan Altima with a Bose system, I love bass. Lately I've been noticing a rumbling sound. Did I blew out my speakers?
    Community Answer
By the sounds of it, yes. They might just be damaged, but most likely you will have to replace them.
  • Question
The bass in my front two speakers does not work, but the bass is fine in the back speakers. Do I need to replace the front speakers altogether?
    Community Answer
Many automotive speakers are a 2-way (or more) design, composed of several drivers each powered by its own voice coil, which work together to produce full range sound. It's possible that the woofer (bass driver) is bad, while the mid-ranger drivers are still operational. Replacement of the speakers would be required.
  • Question
One of my car speakers goes off and on. What does this mean?
    ROWLANE
    Community Answer
If the speaker goes on and off, it means that the wires connected to the speakers are not making full contact, so check the wiring at the back of the speakers and at the back of the control unit.
