All browsers allow you to block and unblock certain websites. For Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, go to your settings which is on the top right. Click on the three horizontal lines or three vertical dots, then click on settings. Navigate to the security and privacy section and find the option to “block contents.” From there, you'll be able to list or un-list websites that you want to block or unblock.

DNS stands for domain name server. It is a computer server that converts the human readable web address (eg wikihow.com) into an IP address (eg 151.101.2.137) that computers use. When you type an address into your web browser, your computer first has to send the human readable address to a DNS server asking for it to be converted into an IP address. For this to work, your computer needs to know the IP address of a DNS server so it knows where to send the request.

If you have the same device they give you at school, just switch them out, out the school’s case on your device, so you can do what you want.
