Where are my game stats saved when I play?

For Skylanders games you could say there are two locations. Your game progress is saved on the console you are playing on. So things like your progression through the game's levels or story, any achievements you have completed, and access to any in-game content you've unlocked, are all stored in your console's save file. However, individual Skylander figure progression is stored on the figure itself, using its built-in NFC chip. This allows you to transfer it between games and keep its progress intact. So things like the level of your character, how much gold they have, the hat they are wearing, and the skills they have unlocked, are all stored on the figure itself.

When I was little, I had a bunch of figures, but no portal or game (I just wanted to collect them) and I colored the bottom the base with a sharpie. Will they be able to be used still? Can I clean it?

Coloring them with a Sharpie pen won't hurt their functionality on the game portal, so they should still work with the games just fine. As for cleaning off Sharpie, try using a dry erase marker, repeatedly marking over the sharpie area, and wiping off with a towel or similar cloth. However, after a few times of trying this method, it will wreck the dry erase marker, so be ready for that.

No, sadly. Skylanders Imaginators figures only work in Imaginators. They are not compatible with the earlier games in the series.

I've got a giant's portal for Xbox 360 but it won't work on the Wii. Do I need a new portal?

Xbox 360 portals only work on Xbox 360 consoles. Same with Xbox One consoles and their portals. You will need another portal for the Wii version. You can use a portal from Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Wii, or Wii U consoles, and any of those will be compatible with the Wii.

If i buy a trap team portal and the imaginators game will they work with all 6 game figure types?

Trap Team portals are compatible with all 6 games in the franchise, and they are the only portals that are compatible with Trap Team. SuperChargers portals are compatible with Spyro's Adventure, Giants, Swap Force, SuperChargers, and Imaginators.
