    Expert Answer
Comfort equals confidence! I always recommend choosing a mini skirt with a little bit of stretch. If your skirt is too tight, it will be challenging to walk, and you won't feel comfortable or confident. Also, try to avoid thin fabrics, because you can see all the lines of what you're wearing underneath. I love minis in leather or stretch denim, but if you're going for a body-con style, look for a heavy stretch knit version.
  • Question
Which skirt styles will make my hips and legs look thinner?
    Community Answer
The A-line skirt does wonders at making hips and legs look thinner. It also looks flattering on most women.
  • Question
I'm a male and get dirty looks when I wear a mini skirt. Why?
    Community Answer
People aren't used to seeing men dressed in mini skirts. Just ignore them and do what makes you happy!
  • Question
What can I do if I want to wear mini skirts or shorts bare legged and I'm not allowed to shave?
    Community Answer
If you are a very young female your leg hairs will not be dark, and generally not be noticeable. If you are older the barelegged mini skirt look, may not be comfortable for you unless you don't care about society's obsession with hair removal.
  • Question
Should I wear a mini skirt if I have an hourglass figure?
    Community Answer
If you want to wear a mini skirt, wear a mini skirt. Wear what makes you happy.
  • Question
How can a tall woman look good in a mini skirt?
    Community Answer
Try to wear skirts that start at your hips, rather than at your waist (and don't accentuate your waist with your top). Wear flats. It's all about moving your "waist" down, visually. Make sure to wear appropriate underclothes. Shapewear-type shorts are very useful.
  • Question
I want to wear a miniskirt and short dresses but I still want to live and move. Any advice?

    Community Answer
You could wear opaque tights or a skort. They will give you enough coverage to run around and have fun.
  • Question
How can I make my legs attractive so I can wear a mini skirt?
    Community Answer
Make sure your legs are shaved and hydrated with lotion.
  • Question
How can I wear a mini skirt if I ride my bike?
    Community Answer
It's difficult if the skirt is really short. Wear tights or boxer briefs that have short legs extending below the crotch. Sit on top of the skirt and try to bicycle with your legs close to each other. If you're rocking a casual look with a jacket, you might want to tie it around your hips to cover up a little and feel more comfortable.
  • Question
What sort of shirt should I wear with a plaid mini skirt?
    Community Answer
Definitely a solid color, either complementary or a bold contrast; loose shirt if a fitted skirt, and a tighter shirt if a loose or pleated skirt.
  • Question
Is it acceptable for a man to go out in public with a mini skirt on?
    Kindness Ibe
    Community Answer
Yes, it is acceptable. Do what makes you feel good. If you are a man, it doesn't matter if you wear mini skirts, go ahead. If people give you dirty looks, ignore them and continue doing what makes you unique.
