On Webkinz, you can choose to combine the sparks of two of your full-grown pets to create a baby pet. Once created, you will need to care for the baby pet. Baby pets can eventually grow into kids, and kids can eventually grow into full-grown pets with three sparks of their own. This wikiHow will help you care for, grow, and raise a baby pet into childhood and adulthood.

Baby Pets

  1. 1
Make a baby pet . You need to have a baby pet before you can care for one. Once you have two full-grown pets with at least one spark each, you can go to the Adoption Center in Kinzville to create the baby.
  2. 2
Place the baby's crib in your pets' house. Choose which color of crib you'd like to have the baby in and select which room in the house you want the crib to be located. Switch to edit mode to manually move the crib to your exact desired location.

  3. 3
Click on the crib to care for the baby. If you wish to feed, play with, or care for the baby, click on its crib. This will zoom in on the baby and give you access to the caring features.
  4. 4
Feed the baby. Click the bottle button to feed the baby. This will place a bottle on the screen that you can drag toward the baby so it can drink the milk.
  5. 5
Play a lullaby. Select the button that has a mobile to play a lullaby for the baby. If the baby is well-fed and tired, it may fall asleep; however, not every lullaby puts a baby pet to sleep.
  6. 6
Give the baby a stuffed animal. By choosing the stuffed animal option, a stuffed teddy bear drops into the crib. Watch as the baby briefly plays with it.
  7. 7
Talk to the baby. The button that has two speech bubbles plays speaking noises when pressed. This simulates your full-grown pet speaking to the baby. When spoken to, the baby also moves in reaction.
  8. 8
Shake a rattle. Click the rattle icon to make a toy rattle appear on the screen. Drag it side-to-side to rattle it and play with the baby.
  9. 9
Tickle the baby. Select the button with the bear and a heart to tickle the baby. In reaction, the baby will make a noise similar to laughter.
  10. 10
Clean up after the baby. Baby pets are prone to occasionally making messes when fed. Click the diaper icon to change its diaper or click the soap dispenser icon to wipe off some spilt milk.
  11. 11
Monitor the baby's mood. After an action is performed, the baby's mood meter will appear. Its mood may alter to become more positive or negative or its mood may not change. An unhappy baby pet will make a fuss in the crib. Thus, aim to keep the baby's mood closer toward the right side of the meter.
    • Note that if a baby pet is completely happy, it will be less likely to make growth moment requests.
  12. 12
Watch for requests. Just as full-grown Webkinz make pet requests, baby pets can also make requests. If the baby wants to be cared for, a pink thought bubble will appear. Click the crib and perform the appropriate action to please the baby.
    • Keep an extra eye out for growth moment requests. These thought bubbles are green with an arrow pointing upward. When the baby has a growth moment request and the appropriate action is performed, the baby will add a small amount to its growth meter. Baby pets can have one growth moment request every eight hours.
  13. 13
Check the baby's growth. Continue to watch for growth moment requests and complete them when prompted. Watch as the baby's growth meter increases slightly after each of these requests. If you'd like, keep track of how many more growth moment requests you need to fill the meter.
  14. 14
Fill the growth meter. Complete fifteen growth moment requests to fill the baby's growth meter. Immediately after the meter is filled, you will be asked whether you would like to grow the baby into a kid or grow the baby.
  15. 15
Grow the baby into a kid once their meter fills. If you wish, you can turn the baby pet into a kid. Select the Grow Now option to grow the baby and continue raising them as a kid.
    • If you'd prefer to keep the pet as a baby for now, click Stay Baby instead. You'll be able to continue caring for the pet as a baby if you choose this option.

Part 2
Part 2 of 2:

Kid Pets

  1. 1
Care for the kid the same way you would an adult pet. Once a pet becomes a kid, they can be used the same way an adult pet is. Dress, feed, and play with them in the game. Walk them around Kinzville, play games in the arcade, and do other activities with the kid pet.
  2. Just as an adult pet has requests, kid pets also have requests. Kid pets may make regular pet requests or growth moment requests. Regular pet requests will not grow your kid pet; only growth moment requests will. You can recognize a growth moment request by noticing the growth arrow icon by the request timer. Kid pets can make one growth moment request per day.

Tip: If your kid pet makes a regular pet request, click on the request and select the Not Now option. This will help increase the odds of getting a growth moment request sooner if you haven't had one yet that day.

  3. 3
Watch the pet grow. Just like baby pets, kid pets will grow slightly after a growth moment request is completed. Continue completing growth moment requests to watch the kid pet's growth meter fill slightly more each time.
  4. 4
Avoid filling the pet care heart. Though filling the pet care heart of any kid or adult pet adds to the pet care heart total count, avoid completely filling the heart of a kid pet. If you complete regular pet requests and end up filling the pet care heart before having an opportunity to complete a growth moment request, you will have to wait until the next day for the pet care heart to empty slightly.
    • Even if you are able to get a growth moment request, consider still rejecting any regular pet requests because completing these will fill the pet care heart. Though the pet care heart goes down each day, it only goes down slightly, so it's best not to ever fill the pet care heart of a kid pet if you're trying to grow them.
  5. 5
Grow the kid into an adult once their meter fills. Just as you did for when they were a baby pet, fulfill fifteen growth moment requests to fill the growth meter of a kid pet. Once you complete your fifteenth growth moment request, you will be prompted to either grow the kid into an adult pet or keep them as a child. If you wish, grow the pet into an adult.
    • If you'd prefer to keep the pet as a kid for now, click Stay Child instead. You'll be able to continue caring for the pet as a kid if you choose this option.
    • Once your kid pet becomes an adult, they will be given three sparks that can be used to create a new baby pet.
