Heat an iron or a blow dryer to a low or medium setting. Gently press the heated iron over the damp cloth covering the crayon stain, allowing the heat to transfer through the cloth to the crayon stain. As the heat softens the crayons, it breaks the bonds between the crayon and the surface it's adhered to, also the fabric of the wet cloth absorbs the melted crayon. Continue applying heat while gently rubbing the area with the cloth until all of the crayon stain is lifted. Exercise caution not to apply too much heat or pressure to prevent damage to the surface. Once the stain is removed, allow the surface to dry thoroughly.

Then perform a test by dividing the stain into two sections to compare the effectiveness of each solution. Apply the first solution to the first half of the stain and the second solution, an adhesive remover, to the other half. Ensure even application of both solutions on their respective sections. Allow the solutions to sit briefly. Observe that both solutions effectively remove the mark, leaving the surface clean. Consider using both solutions in combination for enhanced stain removal. Repeat the process if necessary until the stain is completely removed.
