Steps

-
Tap and hold the row number 1 next to the first row at the top. Find the first row from the top, and long-press the row number in the upper-left corner. This will highlight the entire row and open a pop-up toolbar.
-
Tap the three dots icon on the toolbar. A new menu will pop-up with more options.
-
Select Freeze . A gray line will appear below your first row. This will pin the first row at the top of your spreadsheet. Your first row will never disappear when you scroll down, and you can use it to name your columns.
-
Double-tap a cell on the first row. This will select the cell, and reveal your keyboard.
-
Enter a name for this column. You can use your keyboard to type a column name into this cell, or paste text from your clipboard.
-
Tap the blue checkmark next to the text field. It will save the contents of this cell. Your column name on the first row is now pinned at the top of your spreadsheet, and will never disappear as you scroll down.Advertisement
