Do you have a kid who keeps watching adult things on their phone? This is how to block adult movies!

Steps

  1. 1
Open the Settings app, then go to Focus. You should see a tab that says "Content and Privacy Restrictions". Click on that tab.
  2. 2
Click on the switch. It should turn green, but if it doesn't click it again.
    • This also enables the ability to restrict other things.

  3. 3
Click on the tab that says "Movies". Next to it is a gray text that says "Allow All Movies". Don't keep it as allowing all movies, because that allows your kid to view R rated and NC-17 movies.
  4. 4
Select a rating. That rating will be the most mature movie rating your kid will be able to watch movies with. What you set it to is up to you.
    • Selecting a rating doesn't mean that is the first rating they cant see, but the last rating they can see.

      Tips

      • It is recommended to choose PG as the most mature rating. That way, your child will not get exposed to any major swearing, adult themes, or violence.
      • Block mature TV shows. Your kid may still see adult TV shows, so it's best to block those too.
