This wikiHow teaches you how to set a Baby G wristwatch's time. The time on both the digital and the analog-digital versions of the Baby G watch can be set using the same process, though your watch's extra features will vary depending on its model.

How to Set a Baby G Watch

To change the time, hold down the Adjust button until the numbers start flashing. Tap on the Mode button to switch between hours, minutes, and seconds, and use the Forward and Reverse buttons to change the time. Click the Adjust button again to set your watch.

  1. There are four main buttons on your watch. They may be labeled differently than below, but they all serve the same functions once you place your watch in edit mode:
    • Adjust - Upper-left corner of the watch. Used to place your watch in edit mode.
    • Reverse - Upper-right corner of the watch. Used to move back one value (e.g., a time zone, an hour, etc.).
    • Forward - Lower-right corner of the watch. Used to move forward one value (e.g., a time zone, an hour, etc.).
    • Mode - Lower-left corner of the watch. Used to cycle through options on your watch.
  2. This is the button in the upper-left corner of the watch's face. After three seconds, you should see one of the items on the watch's face begin flashing. [1]

  3. The "Mode" button is in the bottom-left side of the watch face. Once the number that represents the number of seconds begins flashing, you can proceed. [2]
  4. Press the Reverse or Forward button in the upper- or lower-right corner of the watch until the seconds match the current time (e.g., 30 seconds). [3]
  5. Press the Mode button again to select the number that represents minutes.
  6. You can do this by pressing the Reverse or Forward button. [4]
    • Setting the minutes to a minute prior to the current time will allow the minutes to automatically synchronize when the seconds reach 60 again.
  7. Press the "Mode" button again until the current hour is selected.
  8. Press the "Reverse" or "Forward" button to cycle to the current hour (e.g., 6 ). [5]
    • If you're using 12-hour time on your watch, make sure that the time of day (represented by "AM" and "PM") is correct. If it isn't, you'll have to cycle through 12 times to get to the correct time.
  9. You can press the Mode button to cycle through other options that you watch has to offer, and use the Reverse/Forward buttons to adjust them as needed: [6]
    • Time zone - This will usually appear at the top of the watch's face. Keep in mind that the time zone will affect the current hour.
    • DST - You can turn this on or off on supported watches. Doing so will allow your watch's time to reset based on daylight savings time.
    • 12H or 24H - This setting will allow you to choose between 12-hour time (e.g., AM and PM) and 24-hour time (e.g., 06:00 for 6 AM, 18:00 for 6 PM).
    • Light - On Baby G watches that have lights built in, you may be able to set a number of seconds for which the light displays.
    • Date - You can usually adjust the month and day on supported watches.
  10. This will set your Baby G watch's time to match your selected time. [7]
    • On some watch models especially analog-digital ones you may need to hold down Adjust for a couple of seconds before the time will set.
    • Analog-digital models' hands will automatically adjust to match the digital time.

  • Question
How do I illuminate the 3 smaller circular windows? The windows are so dark I cannot read the display.
    Community Answer
You don't, sadly. The only thing you can do if you've had the watch for some time is get new batteries put in. My 3 windows faded to nothing so I had new batteries put in, I can now see the numbers again and they are not overly bright, but they are now visible.
  • Question
How do I stop the hourly beeping?
    Community Answer
You need to turn the 'Sig' mode off. Press the mode button (located on the bottom left) several times until you have reach the option to view the alarms. Press on the 'Search' or bottom left button to go through all the alarms until you are at 'SIG'. Stop there and press on the 'Adjust' button (top left) to toggle the hourly beeping setting on or off.
  • Question
How do I set the alarm on a Baby G-shock?
    Community Answer
Go to the alarms and press on the adjust button once. However, holding on to it will adjust the alarm time, and it'll flash after a beep.

      Tips

      • Depending on the model of your watch, Casio may have the instruction manual available online. Use the 4-digit number on the back casing of the watch, or the model number, to search for your watch's online documentation.
      • Most Casio Baby G watches are more or less the same when it comes to setting the time, so these instructions should work for almost any style.
