Insert your signature to Google Docs in a few easy steps

If you have a document on Google Docs that you need to sign, you can use the "Drawing" feature. This lets you use your mouse to insert a quick signature. If you're on mobile, you'll need to take a screenshot of your signature and add it to your document. Here's how to sign a Google document using your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android.

  1. Click Insert > Drawing .
  2. Click New .
  3. Click the arrow next to Line .
  4. Click Scribble .
  5. Draw your signature.
  6. Click Save and close .

Using a Computer

  1. Go to https://docs.google.com/ in a web browser. If you aren't already logged into your Google account , do so now.

  1. Since you can't draw directly in the Google Docs app, you must first draw your signature in a separate app, and then take a screenshot of it to insert it. Do the following:
    • Open any app that allows drawing, such as Notes .
    • Tap the Draw icon.
    • Draw your signature.
    • Take a screenshot of your signature.
  2. If you aren't already logged into your Google account, do so now.
  3. This is at the bottom-right corner. You'll enter editing mode.
  4. You can find this in the top-right corner.
    • The Insert menu will expand on the bottom.
