You can enter a "favorite thing" when creating a new Stardew Valley character. This is one of the options in the character creator, and the game allows you to type anything you want in the text field.

When you eat a Stardrop, you will get flavor text about your favorite thing. A Stardrop is a rare consumable you can get that increases your maximum energy. When you eat a Stardrop, the game will say "Your mind is filled with thoughts of [favorite thing]" or "It's strange, but the taste reminds of you [favorite thing]".
