Steps

Open Google Sheets. It’s the green icon with a white table usually found in the app drawer.

Tap an empty cell beneath the column. This opens the “fx” bar at the bottom of the sheet. It also springs open your Android’s keyboard.

Type =SUM . A pop-up menu will appear.

Tap SUM . The “fx” bar should now contain =SUM() .

Tap () after “SUM.” Now you can select the range you want to total.

Tap the first cell in the column. This highlights the cell and surrounds it by a red dotted line. A large red circle appears at the bottom-right corner of the cell.

Drag the red circle to select all cells in the range. The cells are now selected.

Tap. It’s on the right edge of the “fx” box. The sum of the selected cells now appears in the cell that contains the formula.Advertisement
