  • Open the Wikipedia translation tool to start translating an article (and ensure an accurate translation).
  • Select a suggested article or enter a specific article you want to translate.
  • Select the languages you want to translate from and to, then click Start translation .

  5. Machine translations are good for learning which words mean what, but it would be better for you to translate between two languages you already know really well. If you do forget a word, though, there is nothing prohibiting you looking a word up on a translator.
    • Depending on the languages you choose, you may get automatic machine translations from the tool.
  6. If you leave to take a break, you can come back later to finish your translation. There is no rush to get a page translated into another language. Take your time.
  7. When you are done, click on Publish . This will save the edit to the appropriate language Wikipedia.
