Turning off your Kindle Paperwhite will help you save your battery if you are running low on it. You can also turn it off to conserve battery when not in use. To turn off your Kindle Paperwhite, see step 1.

  1. The Power button is at the bottom right part of the device beside the USB port.
  2. Do this for about 5 to 7 seconds until the charge indicator light beside the Power button blinks.

  3. The screen will go blank after pressing and holding the Power button; as soon as the screen goes blank, release the Power button.
