Easily Write in Hindi in Microsoft Word
On Windows, add the Hindi language pack and keyboard in Language Settings. Then, change the keyboard input to the installed Hindi keyboard, and you can write in Hindi in Word! On Mac, add a Hindi keyboard, change the input source, and write in Word, and you can choose the appropriate Hindi text! To translate text, click Review > Translate > Translate Selection/Document in Word.

Adding Hindi in Language Settings on Windows

Open Language Settings. You can find this by searching language settings and launching the System Settings search result.

Manage the optional language features and click Install . The language pack includes features like "text-to-speech" and "Handwriting," but if you don't want those features, you can uncheck them.
- If you want to change your display language (including all menus and settings on your system), you can check the "Set as my display language" option on Win 10. On Win 11, you have to go to "Windows display language" to change it.

Translating a Selection or Document in Word

Open the document that you want to translate in Word. You have options to translate a section of a document or the entire thing.
- This works for both PC and Mac.

Click the Review tab and select Translate . The Review tab is between Mailings and View .
- Translate is in the Language grouping.

Click a Translate option. You have two options:
- Translate Selection: Select text in the document to translate. You can change it as much as you need to before continuing.
- Translate Document: The entire document will be translated into the selected language.
- Even after you choose a method of translation here, you can always click the other tab in the Translator panel. For example, if you selected Translate Selection and realized that you need to translate the entire document, click Document at the top of the Translator panel.
