August 14, 2012 The Honorable James Fulton District Attorney Frederick County Dear Mr. District Attorney, On July 24, I received a non-moving violation for a modified muffler on my 1993 Toyota Corolla. Officer Dwyer, who issued the ticket, stated that I was in violation of County Code 233. My case number is CJ3394. I bought the car used and had no idea that the muffler had been touched at all. Additionally, I have already had the muffler replaced, and brought it to the Sheriff's Department where Deputy Antzer told me that it was in compliance with county standards. I have never before received a ticket, and since it was a complete accident and I have rectified the situation, I would like it removed from my record. I would be happy to take a class on the subject and provide proof of completion or do community service. It was an honest oversight during the purchase of the car, and since it has been remedied, I can’t make the mistake again. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to have the ticket stricken from my record. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Respectfully, SIGNATURE Paige Johnson
