I was quite touched to receive a signed letter from you sending your gratitude and respect to my husband and our family on behalf of the United States and the Department of Defense. We have always been firm believers in this country and what you are doing to help it as our president. My husband had no qualms about joining the army because he wanted to do everything he could to protect our country and its freedoms. Although I admit I was anxious every moment he was gone overseas, I knew that he was doing an honorable service for our country. When he returned with injuries, we were overwhelmed and scared, but receiving your letter made us feel truly honored.
