Fried Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
* 2 cups of all-purpose flour
* 2 teaspoons of baking powder
* 1 teaspoon of salt
* 1 cup of warm water
* Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Slowly add the warm water to the mixture while stirring. Continue to stir until the mixture forms a dough.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into 6-8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
Using your hands or a rolling pin, flatten each ball of dough into a thin circle or oval shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
Carefully place the flattened dough into the hot oil, being careful not to splatter. Fry for 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the fried bread from the oil with a slotted spoon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings, such as butter, honey, or jam.
Note: You can also add additional seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or herbs, to the flour mixture before adding the water to give the fried bread extra flavor.
