Savory Snacks * Chex party mix: You can buy this pre-made or make your own batch using Chex cereal, pretzels, peanuts, bagel chips, melted butter, and seasoning (worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and onion powder). Combine all the ingredients in a large paper grocery bag and shake until mixed. * Chicken wings: Finger foods like chicken wings are fun and casual, and you can order them (or make them yourself) in a variety of flavors. There are usually some good frozen options at your local grocery store as well. Don’t forget the ranch and bleu cheese dip! * Guacamole: This dip is a real crowd-pleaser. Keep it simple with just avocado, lime juice, and salt, or add some chopped cilantro, tomatoes, onion, and jalapeño for a guac with some kick. Serve with tortilla chips. * English muffin pizza bites: Top English muffins, split in half, with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and mini pepperonis. Bake at 375° F for 10 minutes. * Mini pigs-in-a-blanket: Wrap mini sausages in crescent-roll dough, then bake in a 375° F oven for 12-15 minutes. * Pizza dip: Combine 8 oz. cream cheese and 1 tsp. Italian seasoning and spread into the bottom of a large baking dish. Top with 1 cup shredded mozzarella, ¾ cup grated Parmesan, 8 ounces pizza sauce, 2 Tbsp. chopped green bell pepper, and 2 Tbsp. chopped green onion. Microwave for 2-3 minutes, rotating at least once. Serve with crusty bread or tortilla chips. * Potato skins: Bake potatoes in the microwave, after piercing several times with a fork, for about 5 minutes each. Cut in half and scoop out the insides once cooled; leave about ¼ inch of potato. Rub olive oil and salt on the outside of the skins, and bake at 450° F for 10 minutes, then flip and bake for 10 more minutes. Fill skins with cooked and crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese, and add some black pepper. Broil for 2 minutes, then top with chopped green onions. * Sliders: Season ground beef with salt and pepper, and form into mini burger patties. Cook on the stove top or grill for about 2 minutes per side, then place on mini burger buns and add your favorite toppings. You may want to set up a topping station so guests can choose their own burger toppings (include ketchup, sriracha, mayo, mustard, pickles, onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, cheese slices, and more). Sweet Snacks * Chocolate fondue: Using a fondue pot, melt chocolate and serve with sliced angel food cake, fresh berries and cubed melon, pretzels, and any other favorite dippers. * Fruit skewers: Using bamboo skewers, fill up with cubed watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, cucumber, and fresh mozzarella. * Rice crispy treats: Melt 6 Tbsp. butter in a large saucepan on the stove top. Add 6 cups of mini marshmallows. Turn off the heat, then add 6 cups of puffed rice cereal. Stir to combine, then spread mixture into a 9x13 baking pan. Let cool, then slice up and serve. * Sundae bar: Grab some classic (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry) and some fun ice cream flavors, and set out toppings such as maraschino cherries, whipped cream, brownie bites, bananas, hot fudge, caramel sauce, and chopped nuts. Set out ice cream scoops, dishes, and spoons, and let the guests build their own sundaes.
